Špindlerův Mlýn 2009

Wow! It's been ages since my last blog-entry.. (My excuse is a boring life and exams)

Last weekend (feb 27 --> march 1) about 50 people from all over the world gathered in the somewhat famous Špindlerův Mlýn.
The trip was arranged by ANSA, which include; Guro, JB, Ole, Ove, Hilde, Åsmund, Kari and myself. From the moment everyone was gathered on the bus we knew this would be a trip to remember.
What met us in Spindleruv was a striking scenery and an even more striking Pension Fortuna. A more run down place is hard to come by, but since we're maybe not the most sophisticated group of young adults, this was the perfect place to rest our heads.
Some people decided to hit the slopes while others rather played Ludo and ate brownies. What happend that night is a bit of a blur, and what I do remember is maybe better left unsaid.. (..I can tell that it included a broken door, alot of naked people wandering about and a hefty amount of vomit).

The following morning "Pension Fortuna" surprised us with an outstanding breakfast buffet, combined with a leaking ceiling. Most people got their skiing on and rocked the slopes as well as the bars. The rest slept in (and played ludo). Everyone joined at the slopes for the 2009 olympics which included four gruesome tasks, combining physical and mental skills. There were eight teams with six people on each team (only 2 people didn't show.. Pål and Jørgen. Both from the infamous Mosjøen by the way).

The light-gray team proved to be the team to beat, and in the end left the field as champions.

After the games some of us went straight to after-ski while others again played ludo. That game never gets old. After yet another dinner at the pizza-place (which wasn't all that) some people went home to hook-up, others just held hands, while the rest either played pool, got insanely drunk or returned to their unfinished game of ludo.

On sunday alot of us went sledging which was a blast. We even met some amish people (I've never actually seen one, but I imagine they look like the people we saw). By the time the bus left at 6 pm everyone was exhausted and happy to be starting school the following day (right?!).

On the behalf of ANSA we would like to thank you all so much for coming and making this trip memorable. You all behaved exemplary and we couldn't wish for a better group of people.
